CALSv4 Version 4.6.0
This update includes some important preparations for WordPress 6.9 as well as some minor changes to improve the editing user experience.
Theme Changes
- Animation UI improvements — animation preview will now play in the editor when an animation is selected.
- Smaller dimension sizes available for margin/padding in the slider. This will not affect any existing blocks.
- Replace huge XXL font size with a more sensible default.
- Fix: Navigation block bug where menu wasn’t the top z-index when opened on mobile
- Fix: Excerpt block bug where font size could not be adjusted
- SEO support for custom post types
What’s new in WordPress 6.9?
WordPress 6.9 offers several new features to improve the editing experience. For a full list of changes, view the WordPress.org release information.
Please note: some features listed in the WordPress release may not be supported in the CALS environment.
- New Blocks: Math, word count, time to read, math, terms query.
- Editor Notes: Editors can add notes in the editor on a block-by-block basis.
- Hide Blocks: Blocks can easily be temporarily hidden from the page by clicking the “more options” (3 vertical dots) in the editor menu for the block and selecting “hide”. To re-enable them, open the document overview/list view to find and select the hidden blocks.
- More Intuitive Editor: Easily move blocks by clicking an dragging.
