CALSv4 Version 4.6.14

Version 4.6.14 adds a new site-wide feature allowing you to disable the default sticky menu behavior.

    Disable Sticky Menu

Added a new feature allowing you to disable the sticky menu on your site. If disabled, the top menu containing your site’s navigation will scroll with the page instead of remaining fixed at the top.

    To enable:

    1. Log in to your site.
    2. Go to Appearance > Customize > Appearance > Sticky Navigation Menu.
    3. Click the checkbox to enable or disable the sticky menu and publish the changes.

Should I disable the sticky menu?

The short answer is: it depends on your site. The sticky behavior is the default in our theme as it can make navigating sites easier for visitors because the navigation follows them when they scroll. On the other hand, disabling the sticky behavior allows the page content to take up the entire height of the screen. If the page content is the most important part of your site and your users don’t need to constantly access your main navigation, you may want to disable the sticky behavior.

If you do disable the sticky menu, you may want to add “back to top” jump links on longer pages.
